A good scientific question is: “What effect does the pH of water have on radish seed germination?” Good scientific questions are defined, measurable, and controllable.

Q. Is chemistry or biology harder?
Chemistry is usually more difficult, especially the labs, because they require a better understanding of mathematics, especially error analysis. Biology is mostly memorization and the understanding of concepts, you will do basic statistics in your BA biology courses.

Q. Can I take biology without chemistry?
If you are most interested in bio take some chem first. Unless you are interested in biophysics or going to med school physics will be interesting, but IMO probably not essential. Again no bio necessary unless you want to study bio chem or molecular biology. If you are interested in physics then take all the math.
Q. Is it better to take chemistry or biology first?
A1: Whatever introductory biology class you decide to take, you should take chemistry now, including lab, in your first year. You can take introductory biology at the same time, although most students wait until their second year.
Q. Can you do biology A-level without chemistry?
If Chemistry is not offered then Biology must be offered with either Physics or Maths at A-Level. Human Biology/Biology and Maths/Further Maths are not considered separate subjects.
Q. Should I take all three sciences in Grade 11?
7. It is recommended that you take at least one Science in grade 11. Students planning to pursue Health Science programs at university or college should take both Chemistry and Biology (many programs also require and/or recommend physics e.g. Kinesiology).
