From Accounting and Finance to HR, CRM or even Supply Chain applications, OnBase keeps documents in synch with your Oracle data and processes. More…

Q. What is OnBase application?

OnBase, Hyland’s flagship product, is a single enterprise information platform designed to manage your content, processes and cases. OnBase centralizes your important business content in one secure location, and then delivers relevant information to you when you need it, wherever you are.

Q. What is OnBase used for?

OnBase allows for the scanning, storage, and retrieval of paper documents, as well as the importing, storage, and retrieval of electronic files; it also helps manage workflow by routing documents to queues custom designed for individual departmental needs.

Q. How much does OnBase cost?

OnBase pricing starts at $/b>. They do not have a free version. OnBase does not offer a free trial.

Q. What is ECM?

The Engine Control Module (ECM), also called the Engine Control Unit (ECU), ensures that your vehicle operates at optimal performance. The ECM monitors most of the sensors in the engine bay in order to manage your vehicle’s air-fuel mixture and regulate the emission control systems.

Q. Can a ECM be repaired?

The first, and easiest, way to repair an ECM is if there’s a problem with the power supply. Oftentimes, these can be repaired by a skilled mechanic or electrician, by rectifying any shorts or bad connections. However, most ECM problems are a result of a bug in the software itself. This isn’t common.

Q. Where is the ECM found?

Extracellular matrix (ECM) is an insoluble group of molecules produced by most cells and found between homotypic cells at their lateral borders and between heterotypic cells at their basal borders.

Q. How much does it cost to fix ECM?

The average cost for engine control module (ECM) replacement is between $984 and $1,004. Labor costs are estimated between $75 and $94 while parts are priced at $909. This range does not include taxes and fees, and does not factor in your specific vehicle or unique location.

Q. What are signs of a bad ECM?

A bad or failing ECM may produce any of the following 5 symptoms to alert the driver of a potential problem.

  • Check Engine Light Turns On. An illuminated Check Engine Light is one possible symptom of a problem with the ECM.
  • Engine Stalling or Misfiring.
  • Engine Performance Issues.
  • Car Not Starting.
  • Poor Fuel Economy.

Q. How do you check ECM?

The least invasive way to diagnose your ECM is to connect an onboard diagnostic (OBD or OBD II) tool to the diagnostic port. From there, you can scan to see if your engine computers have produced any error codes. There are many of these codes, and your diagnostic tool’s manual should have information on what they mean.

Q. What can cause an ECM to fail?

Corrosion and moisture Corrosion or damage due to moisture is one of the main reasons for ECM failure. Corrosion can enter the ECM through the wiring harness and moisture can enter by a failure in the seals in the ECM itself. This happens over a period of time (5 to 10 years) due to the ECMs exposure to the elements.

Q. Will a bad PCM throw a code?

The PCM should give you a code for P0600 through P0606 indicating that the computer has a processor error. However, if the PCM is corrupt, then just like a desktop computer, there is no accessing anything and no codes are put out for the computer would have no way of sending a signal.

Q. Will unhooking battery reset the computer?

Disconnecting your car battery will not cause any permanent damage to your computer or ECU (electronic control unit), but it can have some adverse effects. Those include canceling your preset radio stations, forgetting learned shift points, and your car’s ideal fuel/air mixture.

Q. Does the ECM control the fuel pump?

Some electric fuel pumps are controlled by the ecm and most cars have eliminated this problem by having a switch that keeps the fuel pump shut off until the engine builds up oil pressure. If you have a car ecm with an electric fuel pump and you suspect fuel problems, do this.

Q. Can a car run without a computer?

Yes, it’s true. Most cars prior to about 1980 had no computers in them at all. Carburetors and some forms of mechanical fuel injection operate without computer control – even though all modern cars use electronic fuel injection of some form, to my knowledge.

Q. Do I hook up the negative or positive first?

“Positive first, then negative. When disconnecting the cables from the old battery, disconnect the negative first, then the positive. Connect the new battery in the reverse order, positive then negative.”

Q. Can you just disconnect the positive terminal?

Just be careful and ALWAYS disconnect the POSITIVE terminal first. Keep the battery grounded (negative is ground). Try not to touch the positive wire on metal as it possibly could be holding some charge after you disconnect it.

Q. Do you hook up ground or positive first?

Always while connecting, positive terminal first then negative and the ground (to avoid fuse). While disconnecting negative terminal comes first.

Q. Why do you connect the positive first?

Connect positive first, negative having less potential won’t arc. The higher the voltage, the greater the chance of arcing and fusion. On a car if negative first and you are touching any metal part of car, when attaching positive there is possibility of arcing through you. Your body becomes part of the circuit.
